Vitex

VITEX, commonly known as Chaste tree, is beneficial for the treatment of various menstrual disorders.
Premenstrual syndrome (PMS), menstrual irregularities and other menstrual problems, such as heavy bleeding, are all due to hormonal imbalance in the body. Being a phytoestrogen, vitex can help to bring about a normal oestrogen / progesterone balance to relieve these problems. A number of clinical trials have found that vitex extract could help reduce a range of PMS symptoms, including: irritability, mood swings, headache, breast tenderness and depression.
